Martha Nojima is hosting me and has organized a three-day TPR Storytelling workshop here in Japan. Today was the first day of the workshop went great! Huge crowd! Probably one third are English-speaking and the rest are Japanese of varying English ability. Yuki is the most amazing translator. It is very effective to do the workshop with a translator because the pause for translation enables everyone to sort of let the concepts soak in. The group was simply phenomenal. They were enthusiastic and very positive. A woman from the Board of Education was there and she liked it too!
What a trip! We went to a restaurant where we sat on the floor and had fabulous food. Everything I eat is just sooo good! Shimabara is a perfect place. Climate, food people, no traffic! Relaxed, laid-back lifestyle.
After dinner they gave me a beauty treatment. Toako did my face while Martha and Yuki each gave me a foot massage. What a fabulous time!
